Tír na nÓg is a phrase from Gaelic mythology which translates into ‘land of eternal youth’ and is also the name of this cult prog/folk band. Sonny Condel and Leo O’Kelly’s music mainly consists of their own compositions, which are based on strong Celtic roots, and typically feature intricate acoustic guitar playing and close harmony singing. They have toured the

folk clubs of England; played many sessions for John Peel’s radio show; toured internationally with Jethro Tull and Procol Harum; as well as gigging with The Who, Roxy Music, Elton John, T.Rex and ELP – and made three studio albums.
