Simon Brett is delighted to be returning for the second year to the Battle Festival, where he will be presenting his one-man show, Lines of Enquiry, which pokes a lot of fun at the expense of police procedural crime fiction.

Brett is best known for his crime novels, including the Charles Paris, Mrs Pargeter, Fethering and Blotto & Twinks series. September 13 2017 sees the publication of his 100th book, Seriously Funny, and Other Oxymorons. Simon’s work for radio and television includes After Henry and No Commitments. His standalone thriller, A Shock to the System, was made into a feature film starring Michael Caine.

He has received the Crime Writers’ Association’s highest award, the Diamond Dagger, and in the New Year’s Honours 2016 was made an OBE ‘for services to literature’.
